Marja Jylhä is a Professor of Gerontology at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Health Sciences at Tampere University, and a team leader in the Centre of Excellence in Research on Ageing and Care, funded by the Academy of Finland. Her group is part of Gerontology Research Center (GEREC).
Marja Jylhä's areas of expertise covers longevity, health, functioning and quality of life of older populations, self-rated health, old age services, the ageing society.
